Right Key Cleaning cleans condos, townhomes, and houses in Auburn Hills, MI. The Census 2024 estimate is 26,047 residents, with a large share of the housing calls coming from the Oakland University area. That campus sits across the municipal line, partly in Auburn Hills and partly in Rochester Hills, so a campus address is not automatically this city. Lease endings pile up in May and August, and an empty student unit is a different appointment from a weekly clean in a home where people still cook. Suites and storefronts in Auburn Hills are quoted on the commercial cleaning in Auburn Hills page, separate from house cleaning.
May, August, and the weeks on either side
Student and other rental move-outs are the spike. Move-out cleaning in Auburn Hills is for the day the rooms are clear: cabinets, the oven, the fridge, the bath that took a year of hard use, and the hard floors a mop can actually reach. If the unit still has a sofa and three roommates, it is not that visit. Book after the truck, or book a deep clean that works around what remains. Landlords who stack several units in the same building should send each door number and a realistic order, because a fob that opens one floor does not always open the next wing on the first try.
Apartment and condo cleaning in Auburn Hills is the occupied version. The kitchen is smaller, the entry may be a shared corridor, and the building may have rules about hours and where a car can sit. Maid service in Auburn Hills is that same residential rhythm on a repeating day, weekly or every other week, once the first visit has caught the grease and the bath up to a level worth keeping. A townhome with its own door is closer to a house in how we enter and closer to a condo in how little storage the kitchen has. Name the type. A detached house on a side street off University Drive should not inherit a high-rise access plan, and a corridor unit should not inherit a driveway assumption.
The note that prevents a failed May appointment is boring and necessary: the hour the keys work, where to park, whether an elevator must be held, and whether the office staff expect us to sign in. A lockbox code that changed at noon is the usual reason a turnover starts late. Send the current one. If two units are booked and only one is empty, say which door to skip. We will not guess from a welcome mat.
The campus is not contained by one city limit
Oakland University is the landmark families and landlords both use, and the geography has to be said plainly. The campus straddles Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills. Some buildings and some nearby rentals fall on this side of the line. Others fall in Rochester Hills and belong on that city's page even when the commute to class is the same. We do not treat the whole campus as Auburn Hills, and we do not treat it as Rochester Hills alone. The address decides. If you are unsure, the city on the lease is the one to write down.
University Drive, Opdyke Road, and the streets just off them are where many of those rentals sit. A ground-floor unit collects more sidewalk grit. An upper floor collects more of whatever the elevator tracked, plus a kitchen that shows every splash because the counters are short. Baths in shared houses take hair and soap film seriously. Each bath you want cleaned has to be in the count. A powder room on the main floor of a townhome is easy to leave off a quote and obvious when it is missed.
Downtown Auburn Hills, the crossing of Auburn Road and Squirrel Road, is a different pocket: smaller-scale streets, houses and attached homes, and errands that are not the mall. M-59 and the I-75 corridor are how people arrive, and they are also why entries along those approaches carry more road film than a court tucked behind the downtown blocks. The Clinton River is the natural edge many of those streets eventually meet. After rain, a dog walk or a bike return puts silt on the mat. That mat and the floor inside it are in the clean. The riverbank is not.
A mall you can see from the freeway, and parks that are not job sites
Great Lakes Crossing Outlets on Baldwin Road is the building everyone uses as a pin. Right Key Cleaning is not the janitorial crew for that mall. We do not clean the common corridors, the food court, or a store we were not hired to enter. What we do clean are the condos, townhomes, and houses in the Baldwin Road area, where "near the outlets" is simply how people give directions, and where shift workers want a kitchen done on a day off.
Riverside Park and the Knight Amphitheater draw evening crowds in season. Houses nearby pick up guest traffic and a lawn's worth of dirt at the back door. Hawk Woods adds trail dirt for households who walk there. Both are reasons the entry might be worse than the bedrooms. Neither is a facility we are contracted to clean. The city site, auburnhills.org, is the right place for park rules and city services. Our work starts inside your door.

Interior glass on a slider that faces the park or the river is wiped when it is part of the visit you booked. The outside of a second-story window is not included. Balconies are swept of loose debris when you want that square of concrete in the scope. They are not pressure-washed. Shared hallways in a condo building stay the association's problem unless you have written authority over a defined piece and you say so. We stay inside the unit we were given a key for.
Rochester Hills across the campus line, Pontiac toward downtown
Rochester Hills shares the university edge and a lot of daily driving, and it is still a separate city with its own housing mix. A rental whose lease says Rochester Hills should be requested there even if the student spends every day on the Auburn Hills side of campus. Pontiac is the county seat to the southwest, with downtown rentals and a wider office mix than a University Drive condo. Both are linked here because people cross them constantly. The index of incorporated cities is service areas.
Pets in a townhome need a closed room, same as anywhere, with the extra note that a shared corridor is a bad place for a dog to supervise. If the association restricts work hours, put the allowed window in the request so the appointment is not booked for a morning the building forbids. Name and phone are enough to start. Bedrooms, baths, the city on the lease, and May versus a random Thursday are what make the quote match the door we will actually open.
Houses nearer the river or the downtown crossing follow a driveway sequence rather than a fob sequence: the muddy door first, then the kitchen, then each bath. If contractors just left a white film on the sills, say so. That dust is a different visit from lease-end grease.
Questions people ask first
Do you handle Auburn Hills student move-outs in May and August?
Yes. May and August fill with empty rentals near Oakland University, and the day has to fall when the unit is vacant. Send each unit number, the fob or lockbox, parking, and whether an elevator is involved. Cabinets and appliances are part of a move-out. If roommates are still there, book a deep clean instead. The campus also reaches into Rochester Hills, so the lease city must be Auburn Hills.
Are you the cleaning crew for Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills?
No. The outlets on Baldwin Road are a landmark, not our janitorial contract. We clean condos, townhomes, and houses in Auburn Hills, including homes that use the mall as a direction. We do not clean mall corridors or stores unless a separate space has been assigned to us. For a residence, send the cross street, bedrooms, pets, and whether the request is recurring or a single empty-unit visit.
